2019 Ronco del Gnemiz Peri Sauvignon Blanc

Ronco del Gnemiz under the ownership of Serena Palazzolo and her sons is  one of Friuli Venezia-Giulia’s leading wineries. She and her fellow wine maker Christian Patat have pushed it to new heights due to their commitment to uncompromising quality through natural viticulture, low yield and focusing on varietal purity.

The grapes for Peri are hand picked in September from the oldest vines on the estate. They are whole bunch pressed and  fermented in barriques of which 10% is new oak. The wine is aged for 9-10 months before bottling and released after 3 months.

This is a classic Sauvignon Blanc, very aromatic with notes of green apple, pear, gooseberries and spice and a complex long finish.
