The Granit 30 effectivly comes from the younger vines Vincent owns. They are around 10 years old and not yet old enough to go into his Granit 60. The wine does not see as much oak as the Granit 60 and as a result it has a fresher more approachable feel to it. The wine is made from Syrah, so has a spicy edge but there is a freshness to the wine as well as some good grippy tannin. At this stage we would suggest opening this for a few hours but if you hang onto to it for another 5 years it will really start to show its stuff.
Cornas food pairing - pretty versitile with most meats but having a lovely acidity it would work well with pork, lamb and duck.
