Massaya is a Lebanese winery with French connections run by brothers Sami and Ramzi Ghosn. In their early start up years they sought the support and backing of three distinguished French winemakers: Frédéric and Daniel Brunier from Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe and Dominique Hebrard, formerly from Château Cheval Blanc. The partnership continues to this day.
The vineyards for Terrasses de Baalbeck are more than 1 000 metres above sea level, on the foothills of Mount Lebanon, in the Hadath Baalbeck area, overlooking the famed Baalbeck temples of Jupiter, Bacchus and Venus.
A blend of Grenache, Mouvedre and Syrah that has been aged in oak foudres for 22 months. This is an attractive and elegant Rhone like wine with juicy red and black fruits, aromas of the local Lebanese 'garriques'. Beautifully rich with good tannic structure.
