This wine is sourced from the granite soiled vineyards in the Steynsrust area of the Helderberg overlooking False Bay and is predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon with a touch of Shiraz. It undergoes 15 months of aging and is bottled unfiltered and unfined.
There are classic Cabernet flavours of ripe plums, herbs, cassis, and a hint of smoked meat, evolving with darker undertones of cigar-box and spice into a layered berry fruit profile. The full-bodied palate is lifted by fresh acidity and framed by compact, prominent tannins.
