The vineyards for this 100% Tempranillo wine are from a number of different plots near Fuentecén in the heart of Ribera, at altitudes of 900m. The Tempranillo grapes from the cooler high altitude vineyards which have experienced a slower and smoother ripening are picked first. After fermentation the wine matures in oak barrels of varying ages.
On the nose scents of brambles, vanilla, nutmeg, and sweet spice.. The palate is rich and complex with notes of blueberry and blackberry fruit, complemented by ripe tannins and a satisfyingly long finish.
