Based in the heart of Hampshire’s Test Valley, Black Chalk is an English winery founded by winemaker Jacob Leadley. Focusing on traditional-method sparkling wines, they work exclusively with grapes from chalk-rich soils in Hampshire.
Their rose is a blend of 55% Pinot Noir, 31% Pinot Meunier and 14% Chardonnay and aged for at least 22 months on lees and then rested a further 6 months after disgorgement.
This is an elegant, pale pink sparkling rosé which delivers both freshness and depth. Bright red-fruit aromas lead into a vibrant palate bursting with ripe summer berries, softened by a gentle creamy texture. from partial malolactic fermentation. it finishes long, balanced, and beautifully refined.
