2021 Weingut Donnhoff 'Felsenturmchen' Schlossbockelheimer Felsenberg Riesling Grosses Gewachs

From one of Germany's GG (the equivalent of Grand Cru) sites. A great dry Riesling,fresh and pure on the nose, the palate is full and very complex, displaying a smoky crystalised minerality with a flinty character and a superbly long finish. Hermann Donnhoff described it as unmistakably Felsenberg. The grapes grow on the best steep plots around the famous tower in the middle of the Schloßböckelheimer Felsenberg. 

Good to drink now but with great ageing potential.
