2021 Kumeu River Village Chardonnay

Not much more can be said about Kumeu River which is arguably the best producer of Chardonnay in New Zealand. This is their village level wine and is a great aperitif Chardonnay. It's fermented in 40% old French oak barriques, and 60% stainless steel tanks so there is very little oak influence on either nose or palate. This allows the vibrant fruit to show through beautifully with lively lime and lemon aromas and a flinty, mineral edginess with hints of fig and white peach.
