Ronco del Gnemiz is situated in Friuli in the North of Italy close to the border with Slovenia. Owner Serena Palazzolo and her partner Cristian Patat are committed to producing wines of uncompromising quality through natural viticulture, low yield and focusing on varietal purity.
The grapes for Peri are hand picked in September from the oldest vines on the estate. They are whole bunch pressed and fermented in barriques of which 10% is new oak. The wine is aged for 9-10 months before bottling and released after 3 months.
This is a classic Sauvignon Blanc, very aromatic with notes of green apple, pear, gooseberries, spice and a complex long finish.
