Established in 1917, the community-based cooperative Celler Masroig winery is located in the quaint village of El Masroig within the Montsant DO region. It was created to sustain the local population of 500 people and preserve their agricultural roots. The vineyards are still in the hands of the original families and now managed by the younger generation.
Pinyere Blanc is made from Grenache Blanc grapes that are handpicked in early to mid-August to ensure a crisp and aromatic flavour profile. It is carefully fermented in stainless steel and spends 6 months on its lees.
It is delightfully fresh and clean, and exudes intense scents of ripe white fruit with subtle bready notes, all complemented by a toasty undertone. The palate is refreshing with a good balance of acidity and a creamy, lingering finish.
