2022 Domaine Gilles Et Nathalie Fèvre Chablis Vielles Vignes Magnum

A classic old-vine Chablis with plenty of energy and detail. Vieilles Vignes come from parcels situated beside the village of FONTENAY-Près-CHABLIS, at the very heart of Chablis’ vineyards. Some of the plots were planted by Gilles’Great grand father, Marcel, aroud 1950/1960. with an average vine age of 50 years old.

Bright citrus and green apple lead the way, backed by subtle white peach and a clean mineral edge. The magnum format gives it a little extra poise and freshness, with the wine opening gradually in the glass to reveal gentle oyster shell notes and a touch of creaminess on the finish. Crisp, focused and quietly complex, this is a beautifully balanced Chablis that works just as well with seafood as it does on its own.
