Generations of the Cattin family have worked the estate since early 18th century. Today, it is run by Jacques senior and Jacques junior and at 50 hectares is one of the largest family-owned estates in Alsace.
A rich, gently sweet Pinot Gris from the Vorbourg Grand Cru vineyard, a warm, south-facing site where sandstone and limestone soils bring both concentration and a subtle saline edge.
The nose is ripe and expressive, with baked apple, quince and yellow peach, alongside a touch of honey and soft spice.
On the palate it’s full and smooth, with that classic Pinot Gris weight and a gentle sweetness, balanced by enough freshness to keep it in check. There’s a slightly honeyed, almost confit character, with a subtle savoury edge.
The finish is long, rounded and quietly persistent, with a hint of salinity adding interest. A generous, food-friendly style with plenty of depth.
