Luca Fedrigo started to work for Giuseppe Quintarelli at 17 years old and gave him a fabulous opportunity to work closely and side by side the great man himself. He also learnt his love of experimenting and allowing the vineyards to express themselves.
The L'Arco Arcum 2022 comes from the hills of Valpolicella and is made using the traditional Ripasso method, where young Valpolicella wine is passed over the skins from Amarone fermentation to add extra depth and richness. The blend is based on the region’s classic grapes – 60% Corvina, 10% Molinara and 30% Rondinella – giving a wine that feels both generous and distinctly Italian in character. The wine is then aged for one year in Slavonian oak.
In the glass it shows ripe cherry and plum with hints of spice, cocoa and dried herbs. The palate is smooth and layered, with soft tannins and a rounded texture balanced by fresh acidity. Full-flavoured without being heavy, it finishes savoury and moreish, making it a great match for hearty pasta dishes, roast meats and mature cheese
