2022 Monteleone Etna Rosso

Monteleone was only established in 2017 by young and keen husband and wife team Benedetto and Giulia Monteleone. But it is already making a name for its accomplished and elegant wines from its vineyards on the slopes of Mount Etna.

This ruby red comes come from a single vineyard on the northern slopes of Mount Etna, called Contrada Cuba planted with Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio. vines. It has a complex nose, with beautiful ripe red fruit, spice and hints of volcanic smokiness.  The palate is juicy with red fruit, and smooth tannins. Fresh and clean, with a lingering salty note to finish.
