The Minas vineyards at Quinta dos Murças lie between 110 and 300 metres in altitude, on south-facing slopes cooled by five natural springs—known locally as minas—which help shape the distinctive character of the terroir. This is a refined and elegant wine, balancing ripe fruit with the signature freshness that defines Quinta dos Murças.
Grapes are hand-harvested, then carefully destemmed and crushed. Fermentation takes place in traditional granite lagares using native yeasts, with temperature control (25–28°C), foot treading, and pressing in a classic vertical press. The wine is then aged for nine months in a mix of concrete vats and seasoned French oak casks.
A field blend of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Francisca, and Tinta Roriz.
