Hereafter Here 2023 £29.99 - these are from three relatively new blocks that are still not quite old enough to go into Cartology. The youthful fruit is delicious now and it’s a cracking example of South African Chenin Blanc.
Hemlrand Vine Garden 2023 £36.99 – Hemelrand vineyard is situated on the cold and windy Hemel & Aarde Ridge at 360 meters above sea level. Its made from 31% Chardonnay, 29% Roussanne, 20% Chenin, 18% Verdelho, 2% Muscat and typifies an old fashioned field blend. Aromatic and such a pretty wine.
Nautical Dawn 2023 - £45.99 - Nautical Dawn is a single vineyard wine overlooking the False Bay coast in Stellenbosch. Its pretty extreme, so cooling winds but the granite soil warms up quickly meaning this is still an early vineyard to pick.
Fire by Night 2023 £49.99 - Fire by Night is a single vineyard Chenin Blanc wine grown on a property called Nuwedam which is owned by Alheit Vineyards in the Swartland (Paardeberg). The vineyard was planted between 1972 and 1985 and is a bench mark for all things Swartland.
Huilkrans 2023 £69.99 – A very special single vineyard release from two blocks high on the Skurfberg mountain. Due to extreme drought no wine was made 2020 and 2021! This is now arguably the Alheit Vineyards flagship wine. Only a little over 600 cases made.
Magnetic North 2023 £69.99 - The magnetic north of this product comes from two ungrafted parcels, grown at 520 meters above sea-level on a ridge with iron-rich sandy soil and red clay. This release we see the welcome return of Magnetic North, after been missing from the last few years due to difficulties.
