Cas'Amaro is a small organic winery in Portugal's Lisboa region, making handcrafted wines with a light touch. Working with native and lesser-known grape varieties, they focus on freshness, purity and wines that express the character of their vineyards.
Made from 100% Bastardo (known as Trousseau in France's Jura region), this is a bright, elegant red that's just as enjoyable served lightly chilled. Hand-picked grapes are fermented naturally in concrete tanks before spending a year maturing to soften and bring the wine together. Fragrant aromas of redcurrants, cherries and wild flowers lead to a fresh, vibrant palate with silky tannins, lively acidity and a balanced finish. A good choice when you're after a lighter style of red.
