Domaine Huet is one of Vouvray’s leading producers, with a long-standing commitment to biodynamic viticulture. Le Mont is one of its finest vineyard sites, planted on stony soils rich in green clay and flint. Made from 100% Chenin Blanc, the 2023 Demi-Sec has a little natural sweetness, balanced by the grape’s characteristic acidity and the mineral character of the vineyard. It’s a beautifully poised wine, combining ripe orchard fruit with floral notes, spice and a long, precise finish. The richness gives it plenty of presence, while the freshness keeps it lively and makes it particularly versatile at the table.
A fragrant nose of ripe pear, quince and white flowers, with hints of honeysuckle and citrus. The palate is concentrated yet fresh, with flavours of orchard fruit, candied ginger and orange peel, underpinned by a fine flinty minerality. There’s a gentle sweetness, but bright acidity keeps everything in balance, leading to a long, elegant finish with a subtle savoury edge.
The wine pairs well with a variety of dishes—from spicy Asian cuisine to honey roast pork to rich cheeses.
