From South Africa’s Swartland, this organic Mourvèdre comes from dry-farmed bush vines planted in 2001. Naturally fermented in concrete, with a proportion of whole bunches to retain freshness, it spends around a year in seasoned French oak. The result is a distinctive, savoury red that combines dark fruit with earthy complexity, spice and a freshness that keeps everything in balance.
Tasting note
A savoury nose of black cherry, violet and dried herbs, with hints of cured meat and sun-baked earth. The palate brings dark berry fruit, gentle spice and a touch of liquorice, supported by fine tannins and fresh acidity. Textured and quietly intense, it finishes dry, with a lingering herbal and savoury note.
