A classic expression of Chianti Classico from the historic Brolio estate in Gaiole, made from 95% Sangiovese and 5% Colorino. The vineyards span five distinct soil formations, including galestro, alberese, sandstone and ancient river deposits, giving the wine a broad yet distinctly Tuscan character. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel with 14–16 days on the skins, followed by nine months in second- and third-use 500-litre French oak tonneaux.
Tasting note:
Bright ruby, with expressive aromas of sour cherry, raspberry, violet and rose hip, alongside dried herbs, orange peel and a subtle earthy character. The palate is fresh and finely structured, with juicy red fruit, vibrant acidity and silky, powdery tannins. A touch of mineral and savoury spice adds depth, leading to a clean, persistent finish.
A beautifully traditional Chianti Classico, combining bright Sangiovese fruit, Tuscan freshness and elegant, fine-grained structure.
