Domaine Ballot Millot are equally gifted at making red wines and his Passetoutgrain is delightful!
Passetoutgrain is a blend of Pinot Noir and Gamay, Traditionally vinified with a focus on freshness and balance, it highlights the domaine’s precise, minimal-intervention approach while keeping the style relaxed and approachable. It’s typically lighter and more immediate than most red Burgundy, focusing on bright red fruit, freshness and easy drinkability rather than structure or oak influence.
Bright and supple, with aromas of red cherry, raspberry and wild strawberry lifted by a subtle floral edge. The palate is juicy and energetic, showing crunchy red berry fruit, gentle spice and soft, silky tannins. Fresh acidity keeps everything vibrant, leading to a clean, lightly savoury finish that makes it highly drinkable.
No herbicides and minimal use of other treatments. In fact everything is now organic but it will not become certified as such.
