Produced by Quinta do Roriz in the Douro Valley, this is a single-quinta Vintage Port sourced from the estate’s terraced vineyards in the heart of the Cima Corgo. The wine is composed of traditional Douro varieties—principally Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Sousão—grown on schist soils, which contribute both structure and mineral depth.
Fermentation is carried out in granite lagares with foot treading, followed by fortification and a short period of ageing in large oak vats before bottling unfiltered. The 2024 vintage reflects clarity, balance and structure, offering a more approachable profile while retaining the capacity for long-term ageing.
Tasting note:
The wine shows a deep purple colour, with an expressive nose of blackberry, plum and black cherry, layered with violet, dried herbs and subtle spice. On the palate it is full-bodied yet well-proportioned, with ripe, fine-grained tannins and fresh acidity supporting a core of dark fruit and savoury nuances. A distinct schist-driven mineral thread adds precision and definition. The finish is long, smooth and persistent, with lingering fruit, floral notes and gentle spice.
A classic single-quinta Vintage Port, combining structure, balance and regional character, offering both early approachability and the ability to evolve with further bottle ageing.
