Ronco del Gnemiz is based in Friuli, northern Italy, close to the Slovenian border. Under the direction of Serena Palazzolo and her partner Christian Patat, the estate is dedicated to producing wines of uncompromising quality through natural viticulture, low yields and a strong focus on varietal purity. Grapes are harvested at full maturity, with richness of fruit at the core of the wines, while the whites are defined by bright acidity and a measured, thoughtful use of oak. Sol is not a typical Friulian white, showing a distinctly Burgundian influence, with aromas of fresh orchard fruit, white pepper and a subtle buttery note, underpinned by a slate-like minerality that brings structure and finesse.
