Torre di Terzolan is a small, family-run estate in the hills of Val Squaranto, just outside Verona. Housed in a historic property dating back several centuries, the winery combines traditional winemaking with a thoughtful, low-intervention approach. The estate is organically certified and works with the traditional grape varieties of the region.
Made from Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella, this is a fresh, fruit-driven expression of Valpolicella, rather than a heavier, more concentrated style. The grapes come from vineyards around 350 metres above sea level, where limestone-rich soils help retain freshness. A lovely everyday Italian red with plenty of character.
Tasting note
Bright ruby red in colour, with an inviting nose of fresh cherries, red berries and blackberries, alongside hints of aromatic herbs. The palate is juicy and approachable, with a lovely freshness, soft tannins and well-defined red fruit flavours. Balanced and easy drinking, with a clean, gently savoury finish. A versatile Italian red that is particularly good with pasta, charcuterie, pizza and lighter meat dishes
