Cortezada is a distinctive white from the steep terraces of Ribeira Sacra, made from Godello, Albariño and Treixadura grown on quartz- and gneiss-rich soils with slate. The grapes undergo spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel, followed by six months in tank without lees and further bottle ageing, preserving the wine’s mineral freshness and varietal character. The 2024 vintage is 14% ABV.
Tasting note:
Bright straw yellow, with expressive aromas of apricot, citrus, passion fruit and delicate aniseed, alongside a subtle waxy note. The palate is textured and rounded, with ripe stone fruit, fresh citrus and a pronounced mineral character. Vibrant acidity gives the wine energy, leading to a long, focused and beautifully persistent finish.
A sophisticated Galician white that combines Ribeira Sacra’s mineral intensity with the freshness and aromatic lift of its native varieties.
