2017 Bodega Maranones Picarana San Martín de Valdeiglesias

Made by young, up-and-coming winemaker Fernando ‘Fer’ Garcia, this wine is from 70-year-old organic Albillo Real vines and named after the local Picarana bird. Barrel fermentation gives a soft creamy palate which is cut through by a mineral note and fresh, appley acidity. The tropical and cream notes on the nose are followed by nectarine and citrus fruits on the palate. It is excellently balanced and offers an enduring finish.
