Many people may not be aware that Barbadillo actually introduced the first 'En Rama' Sherry to the world back in 1999. But not wanting to rest on their laurels they have introduced a new release that is bottled four times a year to highlight the flow growth.
Estacional Manzanilla Pasada
The four bottlings, known as Sacas, are released on the Spring Equinox, Summer Solstice, Autumn Equinox, and Winter Solstice. Because flor development is highly affected by temperature and humidity, each bottling captures the distinct traits of its season. To identify the casks that best express these seasonal characteristics, Barbadillo’s winemaker, Montse Molina, personally selects from the Manzanilla Pasada Solera at El Potro Bodega, whose unique microclimate is perfectly suited to this style. This careful, hands-on process ensures a highly distinctive expression each release.
