This was our favourite Champagne we tasted in 2024!
The Collard family's winemaking legacy dates back to 1919, when Lucien Collard married Julia Bara, whose family had been cultivating vines in this Grand Cru since 1833. Today, Auriane, the goddaughter of the late Lucien Collard, carries on the tradition, crafting exceptional champagnes from the estate’s two hectares of vineyards - one in Bouzy and the other in Celles-sur-Ource in the Aube.
Before taking the reins, Auriane honed her skills at Jacquesson for a year before working alongside Lucien to gain invaluable experience.
This exceptional Blanc de Noirs was first released in a limited edition of just 694 bottles (this bottling). While Auriane has since increased production, it will always remain a rare and very limited wine due to the vineyard’s small plot size.
