The Château La Tour de By comes from a respected Cru Bourgeois estate in the northern Médoc, traditionally blending mostly Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot (and a small portion of Petit Verdot).
2018 Château La Tour de By is classic Médoc claret with plenty of structure, dark fruit and savoury character.
Cabernet Sauvignon leads the blend, bringing blackcurrant, cedar and graphite notes, while Merlot adds softness and depth. The palate is firm but polished, with ripe tannins, subtle oak spice and enough freshness to keep everything balanced.
A proper traditional Bordeaux that’s drinking well now with a decant, but still has plenty of life ahead of it. Excellent with roast lamb, steak or hard cheeses.
