Charmes Chambertin - along with Mazoyères - offer up some of the greatest and most pure examples of Gevrey Grand Cru, and also some of Burgundy's longest lived wines. The Charmes is perhaps darker fruited and more tannic, but equally intriguing. Taupenot-Merme are certainly proving themselves to be one of our favourite stars of Burgundy.
