An exciting and very limited production red from Etna, a collaboration between Alberto Graci of Etna and the renowned Angelo Gaja. IDDA means 'SHE' in the Sicilian dialect and is the respectful and affectionate name Mount Etna is referred to. Made with the indiginous Siciian grape variety, Nerello Mascalese which is common to the volcanic slopes of Etna. It is surprisingly reminiscent of Pinot Noir. This exciting wine has great balance, precise acidity and smooth, fine tannins. Sweet aromas of almond, sour black cherry and mulberry with more savoury and herby notes of blackcurrant leaf and oregano lead onto a soft yet taught palate with sweet ripe fruit flavours.
