Produced in Saint-Laurent-Médoc, Château Larose-Perganson has roots dating back to 1719, planted on ancient Médoc gravel formed from the former Garonne riverbed, with Pyrenean pebbles providing excellent drainage and encouraging deep-rooted vines. Today the estate is classified Cru Bourgeois Supérieur.

Winemaking:
The 2019 is a 48% Cabernet Sauvignon and 52% Merlot blend. The grapes were harvested between 27 September and 11 October, traditionally vinified for around three weeks, then matured for 12–16 months in French oak, around 30–40% of which was new.

Tasting note:
The nose is perfumed and inviting, with wild strawberry, redcurrant and blackberry, lifted by subtle mint and menthol. The palate is round, supple and beautifully textured, with ripe red and dark fruit balanced by fresh acidity and finely integrated tannins. Gentle cedar, spice and earthy notes add complexity, while the gravelly terroir brings definition and length. The finish is smooth, fresh and persistent, returning to the bright red-fruit character.

A classic, elegant Haut-Médoc, offering impressive fruit purity, softness and structure for a Cru Bourgeois Supérieur, and a particularly attractive expression of the successful 2019 vintage.
