Loire Valley - The New Wave of Wine
Friday 29th August, tables from 6.30pm
We love these new styles of wine coming from the Loire, so we’re excited to pour a line-up of some of the Loire’s most exciting and hard-to-find wines -thoughtfully made by a new wave of winemakers who are pushing boundaries while staying rooted in their land. These aren’t everyday bottles. They’re small-production, highly regarded wines that reflect a real sense of place and purpose. We’ll kick things off with an aperitif, then move on to a flight of five wines, all served alongside a delicious cheese and charcuterie board.

Over the past decade, the Loire Valley has quietly transformed into a hub of forward‑thinking winemakers. These growers are stepping outside traditional appellation rules, working with native grapes in natural, low‑intervention ways, and crafting wines that burst with authenticity. Expect styles that feel fresh without being fussy—wines that reflect the place they come from and the creative spirit of the people who make them.

We’re spotlighting three estates that embody this spirit:

Le Rocher des Violettes
A tiny, family‑run domaine in Touraine, farmed organically with minimal intervention in the cellar.

Château de Bonnezeaux
Perched above the river, they produce outstanding dry Chenin Blanc in an appellation traditionally known for sweet wines.

Grange Saint‑Saveur
Based in Saumur, they farm biodynamically and embrace spontaneous fermentations—sometimes on skins, sometimes under flor.
