Luis XIV Brisat is a modern expression of an ancient Mediterranean winemaking tradition known as Vinos Brisados — a style where white grapes are fermented with their skins, seeds and sometimes stems, creating wines with extra texture, colour and complexity. Rather than being a new trend, this is a technique that has been practised for centuries across the Mediterranean, particularly in regions such as Alicante and Valencia.

Made from old, dry-farmed vines in Alicante, Luis XIV Brisat captures the character of this traditional approach. The extended skin contact gives the wine its beautiful golden-orange colour, gentle tannins and a richer, more textured style than a typical white wine, while preserving the freshness and energy of the grapes. A fascinating example of how ancient techniques are being rediscovered by a new generation of winemakers.

Golden in colour with orange hues, this is an aromatic and textured wine with notes of ripe citrus, mandarin, peach and Mediterranean herbs. The palate combines freshness with a subtle tannic grip, giving the wine structure and complexity. Layers of dried flowers, orange peel, fennel and savoury spice develop alongside a mineral, refreshing finish. Full of character and wonderfully versatile, this is an engaging orange wine for curious drinkers and adventurous food pairings.
