The Reliquary draws from five decades of grain spirit maturation - each vintage selected from our deepest reserves and married in oak to create something genuinely uncommon. Only 150 bottles exist in the UK market.
This blended grain carries the weight of history: whiskies aged exclusively in first-fill and re-fill hogsheads, spanning the 1970s forward, converge in a single expression that refuses easy categorisation. Age remains unspecified—a deliberate choice reflecting the complexity layered within.
The nose defies expectation for a spirit of this provenance: lemongrass, hay, and lemon zest arrive with surprising freshness, underpinned by floral and grassy grain notes. The palate unfolds with apple and barley sugar, citrus and subtle tannin, white pepper threading through toast and vanilla. A dry, citric finish completes the journey.
Named for Robert the Bruce's heart—interred at Melrose Abbey after nearly 700 years - this whisky honours Scotland's most storied reliquaries. Like that sacred vessel, The Reliquary holds something precious within: a fragment of time, bottled and finite.
