A masterful blend of two distinct Jamaican expressions: rums from 2000 first-fill bourbon barrels married with 2005 re-fill bourbon stock, finished in peated quarter casks and married in re-fill butts. The result is a spirit of remarkable complexity and provenance.
Named after Captain William Kidd - the Scottish privateer whose controversial legacy mirrors the singular character of this release - this rum embodies the same mystique and historical weight as its namesake.
On the nose: quintessential Jamaican funk with banana bread, walnuts, and pipe tobacco. Substantial estery character throughout.
On the palate: layered banana bread, complex sweet spice, hay, and ripe tropical fruit. Unmistakably Jamaican in character, with depth and refinement earned through nearly two decades of maturation.
