The Déthunes started as growers in the early 1800s and began to make their own Champagne in the 1930s.Their Domaine in Ambonnay is one of the loveliest and most well cared for in Champagne. For their Blanc de Noir they use 100% Pinot Noir vinified in oak barrels and tuns and then 33% reserve wine from a period of 40 different years. This Champagne is Extra Brut with a dosage of 5 gr/litre. The date of disgorging is on the back of each bottle, which is never less than three years prior to release
Deep, rich and full, but with lovely freshness and elegance.
