A mahogany-coloured wine with iodine-tinged edges, filled with rich, nutty aromas of dried fruits, hazelnuts, and almonds. It hints at varnish, old wood, caramel, and vanilla. On the palate it’s very dry, with clear almond and walnut flavours, a full, rounded structure, and a touch of salinity. The finish is long, slightly bitter, and deeply satisfying.
Enjoy it on its own, or pair it with nuts, cheeses, soups, casseroles, or hearty meats like oxtail or ox-cheek. Serve lightly chilled at 13–14ºC.
