Amarone V Ripasso Tasting Flight, Friday 17th November

If you were to ask us what our best-selling treat wines are, we reckon it might just be Amarone della Valpolicella. With this in mind we thought it would be fun to pick three of our favourite producers and do a taste comparison between their Amarone and Ripasso wines (we like to call them baby Amarones!). It will be a heady, decadent taste off, just oozing with soft tannins and rich dark fruits. We will taste seven wines from some of Vapolicella's leading producers:  Le Salette , Allergrini. and Monte Faustino. No tasting like this would be complete without finishing the evening off with a taste of Recioto della Valpolicella, the less well known sweet version of Amarone.

These are rich full bodied wines and call for a sharing board of rustic Italian charcuterie and cheese which will be served during the tasting.

The wine tasting is untutored and informal allowing you to taste at your leisure. Full tasting notes on your table will give you background information and space to note any of your own observations. We will be milling around pouring wines and are on hand to chat or answer any questions.
