Produced by Château d'Esclans in Côtes de Provence, “Les Clans” sits just below Garrus in the estate hierarchy, crafted primarily from Grenache and Rolle (Vermentino) sourced from selected vineyard parcels on limestone and clay soils. Like its flagship counterpart, it is fermented and aged in large French oak barrels with lees contact, giving the wine added texture, structure and ageing potential.
Tasting note:
The wine shows a pale salmon-pink hue, with an expressive nose of white peach, apricot and red berries, layered with citrus peel, delicate floral notes and subtle vanilla spice from oak ageing. On the palate it is medium-to-full-bodied, with a rounded, creamy texture balanced by fresh acidity. Flavours of stone fruit, raspberry and orange zest are complemented by a saline mineral thread that adds lift and definition. Oak is well integrated, contributing depth and gentle spice without dominating the fruit. The finish is long, smooth and persistent, with lingering fruit, citrus and a lightly savoury nuance.
A structured and refined rosé, combining richness, balance and complexity, bridging the gap between classic Provençal freshness and a more gastronomic style.
