Named for Larry’s former career as an emergency room physician, White Coat is a distinctive Rhône-inspired blend sourced from three of Turley’s estate vineyards across California, each contributing a unique element to the wine’s character.
Roussanne from Rattlesnake Ridge on Howell Mountain (Napa Valley) provides richness and texture, while Grenache Blanc from the calcareous soils of Pesenti Vineyard in Paso Robles brings lift, acidity, and structure. A touch of Vermentino (Rolle) from the granitic, quartz-laden Cobb Vineyard in Amador adds freshness and mineral precision.
The vineyards span the Shenandoah Valley, Howell Mountain, and Willow Creek AVAs, resulting in a wine that is both complex and harmoniously balanced—an authentic expression of California terroir.
Fermented with native yeasts, the wine is aged for 15 months in a combination of concrete egg and 100% used French oak, preserving purity while enhancing texture. It is bottled unfined and unfiltered to maintain its full character.
