Located just steps from the winery and the family home, this vineyard holds a deeply personal significance for the Turley team. It is an evolving project, reflecting a long-term commitment to thoughtful farming and site expression.
Originally planted in the mid-1990s, the vineyard has been gradually expanded with additional head-trained, dry-farmed Zinfandel vines in 2006 and 2011. Drawing inspiration from California’s historic old-vine sites, the estate has also been interplanted with traditional companion varieties such as Carignane, Petite Syrah, Trousseau, and Cinsault, creating a dynamic and layered field blend.
Set on a mix of volcanic and alluvial soils in Saint Helena, the vineyard is certified organic and entirely hand-harvested. Fermentation is carried out with native yeasts, followed by aging for 15 months in barrel (80% used oak, 20% new; predominantly French with a portion of American oak). The wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered to preserve its full character.
Damsons and dark red fruits, orange zest, anise, and spice. Supple and lush, with creamy texture on the mid-palate. Pure Turley in style so soft and no hard edges in sight.
